Your first wedding with Startr

A plain-English walkthrough for planners and day-of coordinators. You'll keep up to five key vendors on the same timeline, and change it with one message when the day shifts.

Before you start

  • Claude connected to Startr. Do this first (10 minutes, once).
  • Your wedding timeline, in any form: a doc, a PDF, even a photo of the printout.
  • Your five key vendors on iPhone. Most planners pick DJ/MC, photographer, videographer, catering captain and venue lead.
The week before

Get your vendors ready

  1. Text your five vendors and ask them to install Startr. Copy this:
    Hi! For Saturday I'll be sending live timeline updates straight to your iPhone Lock Screen, so you always know what's next. Please install the free Startr app before then: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/startr-agent-cards-habits/id6791654090 On the day, I'll text you a link. Tap it and choose Follow cue. That's all you need to do.

    They must install Startr before tapping your invite link on the day. Startr is iPhone-only; keep any Android vendor on your usual text or radio.

The night before · 5 minutes

Do a quick rehearsal

  1. In Claude, paste:
    Start a Startr Cue card called "Rehearsal" with the first three moments of this timeline: [paste your timeline].
  2. On your iPhone, open Settings › Agent Cards. Under Shared Cue, tap Share Rehearsal, then Send invite and text it to one vendor.
  3. Ask them to tap it and choose Follow cue. Say next to Claude and check that their card moves too. Then say end the card.

    That's the whole system. Tomorrow is the same thing with the real timeline.

Wedding morning

Start "Getting ready"

  1. Paste this into Claude with your timeline:
    Here is the wedding timeline: [paste it]. Start a Startr Cue card called "Getting ready" for everything up to the ceremony. Headline is the current moment, the status says what each vendor needs to do, and include a countdown to the next moment. When I say next, advance one cue. Keep lines short, and never put the couple’s private details on the card.
  2. Share it the same way: Agent Cards › Shared Cue › Share › Send invite. Text it to your morning vendors with:
    Here's today's live timeline. Tap the link, then choose Follow cue. You'll see what's next and a countdown on your Lock Screen. (Startr needs to be installed first.)
During the day

Just talk to Claude

nextMove everyone to the next moment. +10Portraits are running long; push the countdown ten minutes. +15 for the DJ, push everything afterThe dance floor is packed; the rest of the night shifts. holdPause on this moment until you say next. move toasts after dinnerReorder the timeline. Claude re-times what follows.

Keep Claude open on your phone and type or dictate. Your vendors see every change at the same moment, without a buzz.

Around 3:30 PM

Switch to "Showtime"

  1. Cards last up to eight hours, so a wedding day uses two. Tell Claude:
    End Getting ready with the final cue "Guests arriving, ceremony at 4:00", then start a new Startr Cue card called "Showtime" for the ceremony through the send-off.
  2. Share Showtime and send the new invite to your evening vendors, exactly like this morning.
After the send-off

Wrap up

  1. Say end the card. Invites expire on their own and nothing is left behind.
On the day

If something doesn't work

A vendor tapped the link and nothing happened

They need Startr installed first. Have them install it, then tap your link again.

A vendor can't see the card

Ask them to turn on Live Activities in Settings › Startr and check that a Focus mode isn't hiding it. Someone who joins late sees the card at your next update.

I need more than five vendors

Each card is shared with up to five people today. Pick the five who most need the timing; bigger crews are coming.

Claude isn't responding

You're still in control: keep your radio or group text as a backup, as you would on any wedding day. Startr is a display, not a safety or paging system.
