Connect Claude to Startr

Do this once. After that, you can ask Claude to put a live card on your iPhone Lock Screen any time, from any chat.

You'll need

  • Your iPhone with the free Startr app
  • A Claude account (the free plan works for one connection)
  • A computer for this one-time setup. It's easier on a bigger screen.
Part 1 · On your iPhone

See what a card looks like

  1. Open Startr and go to Settings › Agent Cards.
  2. Tap See a sample card, then lock your phone. That glowing card on your Lock Screen is what your agent will control.

    Don't see it? Open your iPhone's Settings › Startr and turn on Live Activities.

Part 2 · On your computer

Add Startr to Claude

  1. Go to claude.ai and sign in. Open Customize › Connectors, click +, then Add custom connector.
  2. For the name, type Startr. For the URL, copy and paste this address exactly:
    https://nfhuxlzifqtxfaqjfsnp.supabase.co/functions/v1/startr-connector-oauth/mcp

    This address is public and safe to share. It isn't a password.

    Leave any other fields empty and click Add.
  3. Find Startr in your connector list and click Connect. A Startr page opens and asks for an invitation code. Keep it open.
Part 3 · Back and forth

Approve it on your phone

  1. On your iPhone, in Settings › Agent Cards, tap Create setup invitation. You'll get a short code.
  2. Type that code into the Startr page on your computer.

    Type it on the Startr page, not into a Claude chat. The code expires in five minutes; if it does, just make a new one.

  3. On your iPhone, tap Refresh pairing requests. A request appears with a confirmation code.
  4. Check that the code on your phone matches the one on your computer, then tap Allow. If they don't match, tap Reject.
Part 4 · Try it

Your first card

  1. Open a new chat in Claude (on your computer or the Claude app on your phone) and paste:
    Put a two-minute test countdown on my Startr, then end it with a checkmark.
  2. Lock your phone. You should see the countdown on your Lock Screen. You're connected.
If something doesn't work

Quick fixes

Claude says it can't find Startr

In the chat, open the tools or connectors menu and make sure Startr is turned on. Then ask again.

Nothing shows on my Lock Screen

Turn on Live Activities in Settings › Startr. Also check that a Focus mode isn't hiding it. On the free plan only one card can be live at a time, so ask Claude to end any old card first.

The invitation expired

Codes last five minutes. Tap Create setup invitation again and use the new one.

I want to disconnect

On your iPhone, go to Settings › Agent Cards and tap Revoke next to Claude. It stops immediately.
